Albert Murray
Baron Murray of Gravesend
The Rt Hon. Albert Murray is a former Labour member of parliament for Gravesend. He represented the constituency between October 1964 and June 1970.
In June 1976, he was given a life peerage as Baron Murray of Gravesend and entered the House of Lords as a Labour peer. He remained in the House of Lords until February 1980.
During his time in parliament, Lord Murray served as parliamentary secretary to the ministry of transport.
Lord Murray has stood in three elections in Medway. He has been elected on two occasions.
