River By-election

A by-election was held in River ward on 21 October 2010 to elect one councillor following the resignation of Conservative councillor David Craggs.
Prior to the by-election, the seat was held by the Conservatives. Following the by-election, Labour gained the seat from the Conservatives.
John Alun Charles Jones was elected as councillor for the ward.
