Council: Stop School Closure Consultation
18 June 2009
Motion
Councillor Esterson submitted the following:
The Conservative cabinet's proposals to close five schools in Medway ignores the council's own figures which project a shortfall of places rather than a surplus by 2013. Council therefore calls on the Conservative cabinet to stop the consultation and produce a primary capital programme which is based on accurate, up to date information.
On being put to the vote, the motion was lost.
