Cabinet Decision Contrary to Budget and Policy Framework
5 December 2001
Motion
The cabinet decision to reduce the support to economic development projects by £70,000 was contrary to the policy framework and contrary or not wholly in accordance with the budget, as a reduction in the general budget heading such as that for economic development projects lies outside the council's agreed budget and therefore would require full council agreement to any reduction.
On being put to the vote, the motion was carried on the casting vote of the mayor.
