Reconsider Forecast Overspend in Compliance with Budget and Policy Framework
5 December 2001
Motion
A report presented to council detailed the referral from the support services overview and scrutiny committee on 8 November 2001 regarding a cabinet proposal to deal with the forecast overspend 2001-2002. In addition, the council was asked to consider a proposal to capitalise certain ICT projects amounting to £300,000.
Councillor Griffiths proposed the following, supported by Councillor John Shaw:
That the council does not amend its existing framework or budget to accommodate the decision of the cabinet but that the council requires the cabinet to reconsider the matter in compliance with the budget and policy framework.
On being put to the vote, the motion was lost.
