An election was held in Thames Side ward on 4 May 2000 to elect two councillors.
Prior to the election, Labour held one of the seats and the Conservatives held the other seat. Following the election, the Conservatives gained one of the seats from Labour and held the other seat.
Ian Peter Martin and Wesley Val Hollands were elected as councillors for the ward.
