It was the first election to be held in the ward following the creation of Medway council. The Conservatives won two of the new seats and the Liberal Democrats won the remaining new seat.
Eileen Ena Chance, Carol Anne Hattersley and Ada Emily Gardner were elected as councillors for the ward.
