Independent Liberal Democrat Councillors
There are currently no independent Liberal Democrat councillors on Medway council. However, since 1998 there have been two individuals who have sat as independent Liberal Democrat councillors but who are no longer members of the council.
Independent Liberal Democrat councillors are typically former Liberal Democrat councillors who have either resigned the group whip or had the group whip suspended. They may also seek election as independent Liberal Democrats, although to date only two people have stood for election to Medway council as independent Liberal Democrats, both in 2000.
Although it is not an official party designation, individuals may wish to describe themselves as independent Liberal Democrats to distinguish themselves from other independent candidates or members of the council.
All dates shown reflect unbroken terms of office as independent Liberal Democrat members.
